We Don’t Just Fix “Bad” Behaviour. We Fix the Relationship.

The “Tranquil” Difference

Many owners come to us exhausted. They love their dogs, but they don’t like living with the barking, the destruction, or the anxiety.

Traditional training often focuses on “command and control”—forcing a dog to sit, stay, or stop. While discipline is necessary, it doesn’t solve the root cause.

At Tranquil Tails, we believe that 90% of behavioral issues are actually communication breakdowns. Your dog isn’t trying to be difficult; they are trying to tell you that something in their world (their diet, their environment, or their routine) is off-balance.

The 4 Pillars of Balance

Communication (Body Language)

Dogs speak a complex language of subtle signals. We teach you to read the “micro-signs” of stress or fear before they turn into a bite or a bark. When you understand what they are saying, you stop reacting and start leading.

Environmental Design

A chaotic home creates a chaotic mind. We help you structure your physical space to lower stress triggers. Sometimes, moving a crate or changing a walking route is more effective than hours of training commands.

Nutrition & The Gut-Brain Connection

Food is fuel for behavior. A dog on a sugar-high or with an upset gut cannot focus. We look at what’s in the bowl to ensure your dog has the biological calm to learn and listen.

Mental Enrichment

A tired dog is a good dog, but physical exercise isn’t enough. We use puzzles, scent work, and problem-solving games to tire out your dog’s brain, satisfying their natural instincts in a healthy way.

“Is this just ‘Wellness’ fluff?”

We get it. The word “wellness” can sound like spa days and luxury treats. But for us, wellness is simply biological fulfilment.
If a dog is biologically frustrated—because they are eating the wrong food, misunderstood by their humans, or bored out of their mind—no amount of “Sit” commands will fix the problem. We treat the whole dog so you get lasting results, not just a temporary fix.

About the Founder

Jay Tranquil Tails

I am Jayakrishnan (Jay)

Animal Behaviourist, Author & Founder

“Long before I was helping families with their dogs, my classroom was the wild. I spent years observing and working alongside elephants, tigers, bears, and snakes. What the forest taught me—and what I wrote about in my book, What Stayed, a memoir at the forest’s edge—is that true animal communication happens in the silent, subtle signals.

I started Tranquil Tails because I saw too many dog owners struggling with traditional ‘training’ that ignored these natural instincts. A dog in your living room is still an animal governed by its environment, diet, and the need for clear leadership.

My goal isn’t to make your dog robotic; it’s to translate the laws of nature into your home to make your life together peaceful. Whether it’s through a simple diet change, a home adjustment, or teaching you to ‘speak dog,’ I am here to guide you from confusion to clarity.”
